- 1 tsp brown sugar (or maple syrup/honey for natural sweetness)
- Pinch of salt
For the crisp topping:
- 2 tbsp rolled oats
- 1 tbsp flour (all-purpose or almond flour)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp butter or coconut oil, cold
- Optional: pinch of salt, chopped nuts (like walnuts or pecans)

- Oven or toaster oven (preheated to 175°C / 350°F)

- Small mixing bowls (2 total — one for filling, one for topping)
- Ramekin or small oven-safe dish (around 200ml capacity)
- Knife (for peeling and dicing the apple)
- Cutting board
- Fork or pastry cutter (for mixing the topping)
- Measuring spoon or kitchen scale (to measure ingredients accurately)
- Spoon or spatula (for assembling and mixing)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven or toaster oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the apple filling:
- Mix diced apple, lemon juice, cinnamon, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl or ramekin.
- Make the topping:
- In another bowl, mix oats, flour, sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
- Cut in the butter (or coconut oil) with a fork until crumbly.

- Assemble:

- Bake:
