Louis Vuitton is known for their classic purses that will never go out of style, such as the Speedy, Neverfull, and the Alma. The Speedy 25 has a very interesting background of how it came to be called the Speedy 25.

The first Speedy came out in the 1930’s, which was called the Express, identified as a luggage piece. At the time until 1959, the Speedy 25 did not exist until Audrey Hepburn, a Hollywood actress, put in a special request to make the Speedy smaller and more compact.

“The Louis Vuitton Speedy is one of the most popular and famous bags in the world. Even though it has a history of more than 70 years, it is still popular today. Louis Vuitton Speedy is a must-have for a handbag collector. It is practical, classic, and it has great history behind it.”, according to The Handbag Concept. The Speedy 25 is the perfect first piece to add to your purse collection, as it is elegant and is Louis Vuitton’s most reasonable purse to invest in.

According to Bag Addicts Anonymous, “Ask anyone what their first designer bag was, and 85% of the time, they’d tell you it was the Speedy.” If you are a Louis Vuitton collector you may have noticed  throughout the years the price gradually goes up and has recently gone up this past year. According to Bagista, “the Speedy was in fact the very first handbag from Louis Vuitton. Rich in history, the Speedy is a signature for the brand. It has, and always will, remain a timeless piece that will never go out of style.”

The Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 and all sizes of the Speedy will always be  an elegant and classic purse that will never go out of style, especially since Audrey Hepburn favored the Speedy 25.
