The Devil Wears Prada is a classic movie known for its fashion and funny fashion humor that  will be remembered in movie history. The fashion in the movie starts with Andy’s frumpy blue sweater and then later begins with a “Desperate need of Chanel”, along with Andy’s fashionable comeback outfit.  The movie emphasizes the word fashion, “you have no sense of fashion”, Miranda. Fun fact; Meryl Streep didn’t know a clue about fashion when she took the role for Miranda Priestly.

The cost of the costumes were one million dollars, according to Marie Claire. According to Vogue, the film used pieces from “Chanel, Calvin Klein, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs… [at a total of] Almost 1 million dollars, which makes The Devil Wears Prada‘s wardrobe one of the most expensive in movie history.”

Many fans know the famous line “everybody wants to be us” said by Miranda Priestly, but was originally scripted as “everybody wants to be me”, but Meryl Streep suggested changing it to “us”.

According to Insider, Meryl Streep said she nearly walked away from the role of Miranda Priestly because she didn’t feel her initial salary offer was high enough. “Meryl says she got the voice from Clint Eastwood and the ironic, cutting humor from Mike Nichols. The walk, she insists, is all hers.”, according to Cosmopolitan. Now can you imagine how the character of Miranda Priestly would have been portrayed without Meryl Streep. “ Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking”. The Devil Wears Prada will remain one of the most iconic movies that will always be known for its fashion, “That’s All ”.
