In March 2019, former Full House star, Lori Loughlin, formerly known as, Aunt Becky, and fashion designer, Mossimo Giannulli, were exposed for paying $500,000 to William Singer, the man behind many of the college scandals in 2019, in order to pose their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, as rowers in hopes that they could attend the University of South California. Olivia claimed that she had no idea that this was going on and she was just as surprised when she discovered the news. Giannulli “…was sentenced to five months in the United States penitentiary…” according to Cosmopolitan. He was “transferred to RRM Long Beach” and “released three weeks early” according to Cosmopolitan.
This came as a surprise to Lori and her daughters but they were relieved that he was safe. He was released to home confinement; however, he will still remain in “federal custody”. According to Cosmopolitan, “…a judge sentenced Lori to 2 months in federal prison, 2 years of supervised release, 1oo hours of community service, and to pay a $150,000 fine for her role in the scandal. Mossimo also struck a plea deal and was sentenced to serve 5 months in prison, 2 years of supervised release, 250 hours of community service, and to pay a $250,000 fine for his involvement.” Giannulli’s statement during the court trial was as follows according to Fox News, “I do deeply regret … the harm that my actions have caused my daughters, my wife, and others. I take full responsibility for my conduct, I’m ready to accept consequences and move forward with the lessons I’ve learned from this experience”.
