Although this year’s holiday season is going to be a lot different from ones of the past, the tradition of holiday lights is still thriving. All across the country, unique light displays are being created so that Americans can get in the holiday spirit while still staying safe.

A variety of such activities are available in New Jersey for fairly low prices. One such example is the Christmas Light Show and Village in Augusta, costing only $29 per a car (NJ Mom). The course is over a mile long, and winter treats are available to purchase at the end of the experience (NJ Mom). The South Jersey Holiday Light Show also offers a course that’s over a mile long, complete with a radio station synchronized with the lights (South Jersey Holiday Light Show). Didonato’s Magical Drive in Hammonton is a train ride attraction that was turned into a drive-through show due to the pandemic (Didonato Fun Center). Children will have the chance to talk to Santa and be given a present by his elves while on this drive (Didonato Fun Center).

The popular theme park Six Flags is also hosting a holiday event this year, “Holiday in the Park” (Six Flags). Tickets are only $20 per person if bought in advance, and activities include thriller rides, rides for younger children, street entertainment, appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, and festive treats (Six Flags). Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange is also hosting a festive celebration called “Holiday Light Spectacular” (Turtle Back Zoo). Guests can walk around the area under festive lights, look at the animals, and meet a variety of holiday-themed characters (Turtle Back Zoo). Despite the struggles faced during this year’s holiday season, there are still plenty of activities available in New Jersey for those who want to celebrate the holiday safely.
