Winter is here which means that choir concerts are in full swing. Traditionally, Mendham’s big winter concert was The Messiah, but it was removed from the concert choir repertoire. The Mendham community is excited to celebrate the joyful holiday season with some beautiful new music and new concerts.

The choir’s first big concert was “Music With a Mission”. This concert was an opportunity for friends and family to hear fun Disney-themed music and donate to a good cause. Admission to the concert was a food drive item which would be donated to a local food pantry. The concert was able to raise over 100 items to donate to the pantry.

In addition to being a fun and delightful concert for audience members, choir students also enjoyed themselves fully. Senior choir student Anneka Lambert says she, “absolutely [loves] to sit in the audience and cheer on all [her] friends in the other classes”. She also, “[loves] to hear the freshman produce amazing music” which gives her big hopes for the future of the choir.

With the rest of the year left to enjoy Mendham’s amazing musical talent, these concerts are something that should definitely not be missed.
