This Saturday, December 7th number 2 ranked LSU will take on number 4 ranked Georgia in the SEC Championship game. Georgia may have the home-field advantage as the game will be played at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta Georgia where the Falcons play their games on Sunday. As we all know only the top four ranked teams make the college playoffs. So Georgia who is hanging on at the four seed right now with a record of 11-1  can’t afford a loss on Saturday. However, LSU can suffer a loss and still make the playoffs because that would be their first loss of the year and they still have a very impressive win vs Alabama in Tuscaloosa. If a Georgia win would happen the odds are more than likely that we will see two SEC teams in the college playoffs.

A key matchup to watch on Saturday will be at the quarterback position. LSU quarterback senior Joe Burrow will try to outduel the junior quarterback from Georgia Jake Fromm. Burrow who is having a record-breaking season with 44 touchdowns and only six interceptions. In his 12 games this year for the tigers he has throw 4,366 yards. Not only is it looking like Burrow will win the Heisman but it’s looking like he is going to be the number one overall pick in this year’s upcoming NFL draft in April.

Will Georgia get the upset on the Tigers and win their 14th SEC Championship. Or will LSU continue their dominance and clinch their 12th SEC title. Be sure not to miss the game this Saturday, December 7th at 4 pm.
