On Monday, November 11th, the NFL featured the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers, two division rivals. Against all odds, going into week 10 of the NFL season, the San Francisco 49ers, despite finishing the previous season with a 4-12 record, started this season undefeated. This team was able to make this jump most likely due to their countless additions on the defensive side of the ball, including Nick Bosa and Richard Sherman, and quarterback, Jimmy Garapolo, as well.  However, this streak came to a close when they had to match up against potential MVP, Russell Wilson, and the Seattle Seahawks.

After a competitive four and a half quarters, including overtime, the Seattle Seahawks shocked San Francisco’s home crowd with a 27-24 victory. Not only did the Seahawks get one win closer to leading the NFC West division, but they also keep quarterback Russell Wilson in contention for this year’s MVP award as he put up outstanding stats. In fact, Wilson threw for 232 yard and a touchdown through the air, and even ran for 53 yards against one of the league’s best defenses. The two teams, and even the LA Rams as well, will battle for a top spot in the division to secure a playoff spot in the stacked NFC. Stay tuned as this will be one of the tightest division races in NFL history!
