RU Thinking About Rutgers?

Maddy Eisenhardt, Staff Writer

When Mendham students begin to think about college, Rutgers University is not usually a top priority.  Being so close to home, many teens look past Rutgers due to the urge to leave New Jersey and explore other parts of the country.  But what they don’t understand is that being a state school, Rutgers is just as exciting and advanced in education as schools such as Penn State or Ohio State.  The 57% acceptance rate makes Rutgers a great look for students who are interested in anything from economics to nursing. The wide range of minors and majors is just another plus of applying to this top NJ school. But Rutgers has much more to offer than just academics.  Being an NCAA division 1 school and in the Big 1 Conference, makes Rutgers an option for all types of sports lovers. In addition, as an in-state student, tuition is significantly less than any out of state school. The student life and diversity of Rutgers University makes this school a great option of any instate and out of state students.  If you like anything you see here, Rutgers University is a great fit for U.
