The NCAA Tournament is taking over the state of Indiana.

Small businesses in downtown Indianapolis are being saved. Since the shutdown in March of last year, small business owners in downtown Indianapolis haven’t experienced this much traffic since life before Coronavirus. March Madness taking place in Indiana has allowed businesses to have a sense of normalcy for the first time in a long time. The entire tournament will be taking place in Indiana which just brings more attraction to the state.

Indianapolis “[police] have implemented a number of safety measures as visitors make their way downtown, including a new partnership with the Relay app that will allow visitors and residents to make non-emergency reports regarding safety concerns downtown.” (IndyStar) The state is prepared for all the attractions that the state will be getting from hosting March Madness. With 68 teams coming to the state safety is very important this year more than ever. Stadiums in the state will also follow all Covid protocols and guidelines in order to have a safe environment for the 68 teams that will be attending.

Indiana has six venues where the games will be taking place. These venues will all be operating at 22% capacity.
