Tom Brady is arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the history of the NFL. Since before I was born, he’s been going to Super Bowls, and now, at 43, he is going to his 10th Super Bowl to try and win his 7th championship.

This season, Brady went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after playing 19 years with the Patriots. On the Patriots, he became the most accomplished quarterback in NFL history, racking up a crazy stat line consisting of record nine Super Bowl appearances, record six Superbowl wins, 48 game-winning drives, three MVPs, 14 pro bowl selections, and much more than this. Brady’s accolade list is endless.

Although Brady has played so many seasons and shows that he can play so many more, despite this, everything good must come to an end. Brady proved himself to be one of the best in his time in New England and was able to do that again for the first time in his first time in Tampa Bay.

This season, Brady is going head to head against one of the best, if not the best quarterbacks in the NFL right now, Patrick Mahomes. Both quarterbacks go into this Superbowl leading absolute offensive powerhouses. With these two at the helm of those teams, this Superbowl could go any which way.

When it comes to greatness, Patrick Mahomes might just as well be the second coming of Brady, a pocket passer with excellent throwing ability, only mobile when he has to be, excellent pocket awareness. Mahomes carries all the intangibles. Despite having all these great attributes to Mahomes game, his legacy will have a stain on it if he loses to Brady, and vice versa.

Assuming that Brady ends this year with a Super Bowl win, there is no doubt that he will retire. A long career, and with so much accomplishment inside that career, he has the respect and the credentials to say he is one of the best players of all time. If Tampa Bay wins against the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV, Brady will call it a career and go down in NFL history as the greatest to ever play.
