World Series Game 1 and 2 Recap

World Series Game 1 and 2 Recap

The 2020 fall classic started on Tuesday evening and for the city of LA, it was a great start.  The second best player and their emotional leader Mookie Betts was fantastic, he went 2-4 with a homer and a stolen base.  Lefty slugger Cody Bellinger also homered in the game, but the main story in game one was veteran ace, Clayton Kershaw.  Kershaw over the years has had his playoff struggles and he has especially struggled in the World Series, but Tuesday Kershaw was flat out dominanting, he went 6 innings only giving up one run on two hits.  This was probably the best start of his career considering the circumstances.  The Dodgers took game one 8-3.

Now as for game 2 that’s a different story.  It was all Tampa Bay.  Struggling lefty superstar Brandon Lowe broke out of his slump by hitting two home runs and driving in 3 runs.  Also, young and up and coming superstar pitcher Blake Snell was near perfect on the night he went 4.2 innings only giving up two hits, he was charged with two runs but he was not on the mound when those runs were scored.  The Rays took game 2 by a score of 6-4.

Going into the off-day on Thursday the baseball world is set up for an all-important game Friday night.
