Malcolm McCormick, known as Mac Miller, and Larry Fisherman on his more experimental projects, was a rapper, singer, and songwriter from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Miller was sadly found unresponsive in his apartment on September 7th, 2018. Although this was found to be an accident it was later found the rapper died from an overdose of alcohol and drugs. Although it has been over two years since Mac Miller’s passing he is still very much remembered for the impact of his music.

Mac Miller’s popularity is still increasing greatly, however, one of Mac Miller’s most successful albums, “Swimming”, just reached one billion streams on Spotify, and another one of Mac Miller’s albums, “Divine Feminine”,  came out on September 16th, 2016, a little over four years ago. This album included some of Mac Miller’s biggest hits such as, “Dang!”, and, “Cinderella”.

Along with these two significant milestones in older music, Miller’s team recently put together the last album of projects he was working on and named the album “Circles”. In an interview, Sarah McMenamin said: “Even though I have been listening to Mac Miller since the early albums, I find myself liking the ‘Circles’ album the most”. Two more signals were just very recently released onto the “K.I.D.S.”. Deluxe albums named, “Ayye”, and, “Back in the Day”, which McMenamin said she, “can’t stop listening to.”

Miller’s music is seen as more than just a song or words to many. Miller had a gift for creating captivating melodies paired with beautiful and meaningful lyrics that spoke to many, as said by McMenamin, “Miller has a song for every mood, whether I am happy, sad, excited, mad- literally anything, there is an amazing bunch of songs for that.”
