Everything You Need to Know About “Loki”
May 12, 2021
Marvel fans all over the world are waiting in anticipation for the new original show “Loki.” Just following the ending of the first season of “Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” fans cannot wait till Marvel releases more content. With both “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” and “Wandavision” being released weekly on Fridays, it came as a shock when Marvel announced that the release date for “Loki” would be moved up to Wednesday, June 9th. Variety supports this claim by referencing Tom Hiddleston, the actor who plays Loki, new advertisement in which he says “‘Wednesday’s are the new Fridays.’”
The new show will follow Loki, the God of Mischief, in his explorations after the movie “Avengers: Endgame.” Variety describes the show saying that “Trailers for the Disney Plus series show Loki being recruited by a mysterious organization called the Time Keepers to fix the flow of time and several alternate realities.” Besides Tom Hiddleston as Loki, other popular actors and actresses include Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Idris Elba as Heimdall, and Jaimie Alexander as Sif.
While not much is known about the plot or the new characters in the show, (as you know Marvel loves their secrets,) fans are ready for more content. From the end of “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” to the premiere episode of “Loki,” it would be well over four weeks that avid watchers would be without new Marvel content. Many fans are excited to follow the journey of Loki, a dearly beloved villain and comical relief in many of the movies. Head onto Disney+ on June 9th, and weekly from there on, to stream “Loki” featuring Tom Hiddleston!
