Artists With Style: Best Dressed at the Grammy’s
March 26, 2021
This year’s 2021 Grammy’s took place on March 14, airing at 8pm. The show took place outside, allowing for a more COVID-friendly atmosphere. This did not stop the artists from looking their best. Vogue outlines some of the best-dressed artists as being Billie Eilish in Gucci, BTS in Louis Vitton, and Taylor Swift in Oscar de la Renta. However, there were three groundbreaking looks from the night.
Harry Styles looked stunning in all black Gucci during his on-stage performance. Styles wore a black leather suit with no shirt underneath and paired his outfit with a green feather boa around his neck (Insider). On the red carpet, Insider describes Harry as swapping out his green boa for a purple one which he then wore overtop “a yellow, ’70s-inspired houndstooth blazer, brown velvet pants, cream-colored shoes, and a pink-hued shirt with a low V-shaped neckline.”
Dua Lipa was another notable artist with style this evening. Her Versace slinky dress was paired with BVLGARI jewelry. She also wore a small pink slip dress underneath, to pull the look together. The colors are ethereal, perfectly suiting her dream-like look (Vogue).
Another surprise look that caught the attention of the media was Lizzo’s dress. Her beautiful free-flowing green dress was designed by Balmain. The sweetheart neckline paired well with the dreamy sheer-green color of her shorter dress. She was seen wearing BVLGARI Serpenti jewelry on her wrists, neck, ears, and hands. The Guardian described this look like a “roaring 20s” inspired outfit, which perfectly describes her matchy dress and shoes look.
Last but not least, Megan Thee Stallion served bold looks. Her notable bright burnt orange dress was designed by Dolce & Gabbana. The Guardian commented that “Megan exuded old Hollywood glamour in her bow-featuring evening gown.” Megan is then accessorized with Chopard jewelry, wearing a diamond necklace, bracelet, earrings, and studded heels to match her elegant look.
From suits to shoes, each star was dressed to impress. Overall, the night was as much of a fashion success as it was a musical one.
