Who Are The Five All-Americans In College Basketball?
March 24, 2021
Every one of the five best players in the country is placed on an all-American team to honor their great play. These players are not the best pro prospects but the best players in college. The all-American list also takes into account the team’s success. Here is my list for the all-American team.
Cade Cunningham, Freshman Guard, Oklahoma State:
Cade Cunningham is pretty much a lock for the number one overall pick in the NBA draft. However, he did not let that affect his team’s success. Cade has averaged 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists a game in leading Oklahoma State to a four seed.
Ayo Dosunmu, Junior Guard, Illinois:
Ayo Dosunmu is the best player on the best team in the big ten and maybe the best team in the nation, Illinois. Ayo, an experienced player, who has been dubbed the Masked Mamba due to the fact that he has to wear a mask for his broken nose, is averaging 20.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists a game.
Jared Butler, Junior Guard, Baylor:
Jared Butler is the leader of a Baylor team who earned a number one seed in the NCAA tournament. Jared Butler is one of the best isolation players in the nation with crafty handles and a great shot from three. Butler is averaging 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists a game.
Corey Kispert, Senior Forward, Gonzaga:
Corey Kispert is the best player on the only undefeated team remaining in college basketball. Kispert, a veteran player will not shock you with crazy athleticism or shifty handles, but he just scores the ball. Kispert, a great shooter averages 19 points, and 5 rebounds a game.
Luka Garza, Senior Center, Iowa:
Luka Garza is probably going to win the player of the year. The center just knows how to score the ball. However he isn’t just a scorer he is a winner, Garza led the Hawkeyes to the 2 seed. Garza is averaging 23.7 points and 8.8 rebounds a game.
