The sentimental actions of characters on TV demonstrate themes of love. Not only can fictional characters develop harm warming relationships with other characters, however people on reality tv can as well. For example the widely known reality TV show titled “The Bachelor” portrays the struggle of finding true love while several women compete for the love of one man through various dates and activities. This is similar to the well known reality TV show called “Love Island”. “A group of swimsuit-clad singles is dropped in an exotic locale and told to pair up, and things become wild and weird from there”(USAToday). Additionally, the popular show “Friends” ecompasses loving relationships, especially through characters like Ross and Rachel. “First Ross (David Schwimmer) was crushing on Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and she didn’t know; then she was crushing on him, and he was taken”(Refinery29). This show of 10 seasons incorporates love through the friendship and love interests of the 5 main characters.

Watching classic movies about love is the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day. The movie titled “The Notebook” written by Nicolas Sparks encompasses everything having to do with romance. “The film stars Ryan Gosling as a poor man who works in a lumber mill and Rachel McAdams as the wealthy woman who falls for him. They’re separated by World War II and then are reunited later in life…and find it’s never too late for love”(Today). As shown in the title, the movie “Love Actually” not only portrays love through romance, however friendship and family themes are conveyed as well. “The movie tracks the lives of eight couples who are loosely connected in London just before Christmas”(Today), so this movie is not only a Christmas classic but should be watched on the holiday of love.

Through different types of entertainment, there is always a message shown to entice the watchers, and that message often contains love. Love can be illustrated through romantic interests and the love of family and friends, in which is shown through various shows and movies.
