This winter is very different due to Covid-19 and ski resorts all over the country will be having to follow certain guidelines. As long as people are able to ski I am sure they will follow those guidelines. I am very excited and hopeful that we will have a ski season this year. As long as people follow the guidelines I think this ski season will be like any other. Even during the “resorts report that business exceeded expectations during their first coronavirus summer/fall season”(The Washington Post). If a lot of people were going in the summer and fall of 2020 to ski hopefully this winter will be the same.

This 2020-2021 ski season will involve a lot of different new guidelines due to the coronavirus. Some include having to wear a mask at all times, food will be more of a grab and go style, and resorts will have more signs instructing people about wearing masks and other rules. Crowded bars will not be allowed this year since they “have been identified by health experts as breeding grounds for virus spread”(The Washington Post). At some resorts they are not having lessons anymore or the class size will just be significantly smaller. With all these new guidelines which will have to be enforced some people might not want to take the risk of going skiing this year which could hurt ski resorts. Covid-19 has caused technology to be a really vital part of our life even more now. At Ski resorts ticket booths will for the most part be online and allow people to pay with cards only. With all these new guidelines this Ski season will definitely be a place for people to spend time outdoors in a safe way.
