Highly Anticipated Albums Continue to Remain Unreleased

With 2019 coming to an end, many music fans across the world are once again left without new music from their favorite artists. Lately, especially in the rap genre, there has been a trend revolving around teasing an album but never releasing it. For example, millions have been waiting for rapper Lil Uzi Vert to drop his second studio album Eternal Atake. This album has been referenced in the past by the mumble-rapper, however there has been no information released regarding its release. With an eerie reference to the cult Heaven’s Gate in the album art, Eternal Atake stands tall in the mystery world of unreleased music.

To add onto this trend, fans are waiting for rapper Playboi Carti’s album Whole Lotta Red to release as well, which also has no actual set date. Carti, famous for his unique construction of melodies, phonetics, and language, has two albums out already, one self-titled, and the other album titled Die Lit. Both albums are packed with absolute bangers, complete with masterful production from Pierre Bourne and Carti’s transcendental vocal hooks and layers. As a result, the wait is even more strenuous. However, on the bright side, rapper and producer Kanye West recently released his album Jesus is King which fans never thought would come to life. Read The Patriot’s review on Jesus is King here!

With that being said, there is always hope for these projects. Furthermore, there have been some new album drops this week, with an album from rapper Trippie Redd and another from rapper YNW Melly. While new music is always a good thing, every day without these anticipated album is always a letdown. However, in the months to come, things can always change!
