2019 Concert Tour to Look For
January 16, 2019
The end of 2019 was a great time to be a music lover. Many popular artists dropped albums that many people can say are their best ones yet. From Ariana Grande’s, Sweetener to Lil Wayne’s, The Carter V, the last few months of 2018 were ones to remember.
The best thing about albums dropped late in the year is the abundance of concert tours arranged for the start of 2019. Here are some of the most popular upcoming artists of all genres, set to tour in 2019.
Being voted Billboard’s 2018 women of the year, It’s safe to say that Ariana Grande’s Sweetener tour is easily the most popular tour coming in 2019. Along with her new album Sweetener, Grande brought us multiple top chart singles this year such as “thank u, next” and “imagine” which have all led up to the upcoming tour starting in March. This past year held a lot of important events in Grande’s life, music only being a small part of that. This all will hopefully be reflected when Grande hits the stage next year.
P!nk
Many P!nk fans will be glad to hear that after six months of waiting, that this singer/songwriter will finally take the stage again starting in March of 2019. Not to be confused with her original Beautiful Trauma tour earlier this year that ran from early March to June, it was recently announced that the female pop icon will begin to perform again on her second world tour starting in March of 2019, featuring an opening act of Julia Michaels. It’s safe to say that there is a lot of excitement about what this tour will bring us and is any surprises are in store.
Shawn Mendes
One of the top male pop artists is taking the stage again starting in March of 2019 on his self-titled tour, Shawn Mendes The Tour. Ever since his debut album Handwritten was dropped back in 2015, Shawn Mendes has risen in fame and popularity. This new tour is based on his most recent album titled Shawn Mendes which was dropped earlier this year. This international tour will take Mendes through several different countries across Europe before finally finishing up his tour in North America. This album has to be some of Shawn Mendes’ best work and hopefully will bring us an even more amazing tour.
Carrie Underwood
Amongst high school students, country music is not usually the genre of choice. But for the slim percentage of teens that do love to sit around and listen to country, this tour is for you. Carrie Underwood has recently announced The Cry Pretty Tour 360, with special guests of Maddie & Tae and Runaway June. This tour will begin in May of 2019 and stretch all year until finally closing off in her Detroit show on Halloween. This tour is the spark that will send Underwood’s career back again into the stars as she continues her music career over the next few years.
