Ellie Kourkoulakos is one of the Chief Editors for The Patriot. During her freshman year, she started out as a staff writer and was promoted to her current position at the start of her sophomore year. In addition to her editing position, she also loves reporting on local, domestic, and international events. 

Outside of The Patriot, she is a violinist and a part of several ensembles. She is the concertmaster of the West Morris Regional Orchestra and participates in outreach and performances in the local community. She also attends the New Jersey Academy of Music in Bernardsville, where she takes lessons and is a prominent member of a small chamber ensemble that went on a concert tour in Puerto Rico during the summer of 2024. She enjoys performing as a soloist and as a group for all kinds of audiences.

Lastly, Ellie is a County Scheduler and a BioBuddy for the American Red Cross. She develops a weekly newsletter regarding upcoming blood drive opportunities, hosts monthly office hours, and mentors students in the Summer Youth Corps.
