Ellie Kourkoulakos, Editor
Ellie Kourkoulakos, currently a junior, has been a staff writer since her freshman year. During her sophomore year, she was promoted to Editor-in-Chief and continues to hold this position. Over the summer, she attended the NYU Urban Journalism Workshop, where she wrote an article about women in the film industry for NYU’s The Spectrum. Additionally, she writes monthly articles about the Chester community for the magazine Chester Neighbors. As an American Red Cross volunteer, Ellie wears many hats. She is a County Scheduler, who sends out a weekly newsletter and hosts monthly office hours; the Assistant Team Lead of the Communications Team, where she works on the monthly newsletter; and she is a Bio-Buddy Mentor who assists Summer Youth Corps volunteers.
Outside of journalism, Ellie has been a violinist for ten years. She takes private lessons at the New Jersey Academy of Music in Bernardsville and is also part of their chamber group that embarked on a concert tour in Puerto Rico in 2024. She also plays traditional Greek music in a band called Kefi & Muse.
