Chiefs vs Buccaneers Recap

Chiefs+vs+Buccaneers+Recap

The Chiefs vs Buccaneers game last night was one of the better games of the week.  The Chiefs won 27-24.  Patrick Mahomes looks like the MVP of the league.  Mahomes made throwing for 462 yards and 3 touchdowns look easy.  For him it might be easy.  He’s on track to be one of the greatest football players ever, and possibly the greatest football player ever.  It is only his fourth season and his third season as a starting QB.  296 of Patrick Mahomes’s yards went to Tyreek Hill who went off for 296 yards and 3 touchdowns.  He is the fastest player in football and the Bucs left him in one on one coverage all game and the Bucs paid big time.  TE Travis Kelce added 8 catches for 82 yards.  The Chiefs defense played pretty well holding the Bucs to 24 points is a good job by a defense in today’s NFL.

Now for the Bucs.  Coming into the game if you told me that the Bucs defense held the Chiefs to 27 points I would have said the Bucs probably win the game.  Holding the Chiefs under 30 points is a huge win.  Although the Bucs defense did their job they did give up 296 yards to Tyreek Hill and refused to put a safety overtop which is just inexcusable by defensive coordinator Todd Bowles.  Tom Brady and the offense did not look good early.  In the first quarter they had an extremely hard time moving the ball on a Chiefs defense that is pretty average.  Tom Brady threw for 345 yards and 2 touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions.  Running back Ronald Jones caught his first career passing touchdown.  Mike Evans added 2 touchdowns along with 50 yards.  The Bucs are 1-3 since adding Antionio Brown. That is not much but it is something to talk about.

The Chiefs move to 10-1 on the season.  While the Bucs fall to 7-5 and almost have no chance to win the division and will most likely be a wild card team.
